enjoyable.

Desert dance - Styling and percussive hips
The essence of Middle Eastern dance can be found in the hips. In this class
we learn how to layer our hip work to achieve different results. Fast and
intricate moves are slowed and broken down to make them more understandable to
students. We add style to your dance by focusing on precise arm and bodywork to
accompany you beautiful hips. Also covered is as range of props such as Raqs al
Assaya (the cane dance, which is a charming and fun folkloric dance from Upper
Egypt), veil and introduction to zills (finger cymbals).

Belly Buddies - Our children's Belly dance classes
An introduction to Middle Eastern dance for children where fun is the
emphasis. Focusing on Middle Eastern movement children are taught
choreographies, how to use a variety of props and performance presentation. We
believe each child should be encouraged to improve at their own pace.
UNDER 16’s

Gypsy Chicks - For the teenage girl
Belly dancing is all the Rage! Learn those fabulous moves that you see on
video clips. Belly dancing is not only a folk dance, you can put your new moves
to use on a dance floor. In this class we use beautiful Egyptian music (for
those classical moves) alongside some of today's favourites (for belly fusion!).
DRUMMING

Percussion - Rhythms of the Middle East
Covering popular dance rhythms this class is ideal for dancers or musicians
looking for a good grounding in rhythms of the Middle & Near East. Classes
focus on Tabla (drum) but some tambourine is covered.
The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word: - Mata
Hari
